Welcome. I'm Graham, UI Designer based in Brighton. Currently looking for a new role that'll make use of my 20 years experience in the game. If you're looking for a top creative professional then I would very much like to be considered for any design centered role on offer. Lead UI Designer
IQVIA deliver integrated information and technology solutions that drive healthcare forward. I'm heavily involved in the entire UX and UI process, delivering design and UI solutions for highly complex software applications. From UX research through to wireframing/prototyping, design language development and front-end coding. Working across multiple Scrum teams in an Agile environment.

Chroma Sports

Senior UI and Digital Designer
Chroma create digital sports products for companies such as SKY Sports and Channel 4. Employed to bridge the gap between design and development and to create intuitive user interfaces for their websites and apps. Involved at every stage of the planning, design and build process I ensured the design and development teams communicated effectively to produce top quality work at every stage of the project.

Rittman Mead

Creative Specialist
Rittman Mead are a leading global software consultancy firm with offices and consultants around the world. I worked as the in-house design department and brand guardian. It was my responsibility for ensuring consistency across all marketing material both digital and print.

2011

CWT

Senior Digital Designer
CWT are a web design and technology agency specialising in the travel sector. As part of the design team at CWT I was responsible for the UI/UX, design and front-end markup of a variety of websites. Responsibilities included: iterative low and high fidelity wire-framing and prototyping, visual design and front-end coding.

2010

Study Group

Senior Digital Designer
Study Group employ around 2000 people in offices across the globe, I headed the digital design team in the creative services department. I worked closely with the print designers and dev team to create online material for a vast portfolio of brands. I was responsible for managing digital design workflows and prioritising projects as well as designing and front-end coding landing pages, micro-sites and full, CMS driven e-commerce sites. Involved with large projects from the start and every step of the way right through the UI process to launch.

2007

Cactus Language

Senior Digital Designer
I designed and maintained 7 e-commerce sites that sold language courses worldwide. I was responsible for a junior designer and managed my own workflow whilst constantly coming up with new ways to promote products online.

Freelance Digital Designer

Included work at Wilddog Design and White Hat Media. Working on a diverse range of projects, I gained a huge amount of industry experience working with some great people on some fantastic brands. My time as a freelancer was massively beneficial in terms of learning how to manage my time, clients and projects resulting in me becoming a much more rounded creative professional.

My first position within a dedicated design agency. I built Flash and HTML/CSS websites for large clients including Suzuki, Toyota and Puffin Books.

Worked in the marketing team for a Dublin based international telecommunications firm. It was with Logica hat I gained my first experience with HTML and design for the web by building the companies intranet sites.

Design Process

My design process is not rigid, it shifts and adjusts to each individual project and it's requirements. Research, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, testing, visual design, and coding will usually be involved. Not necessarily all those stages, or in that order, but what works best and most efficiently for any given task.

Comprehensive experience and knowledge of digital design gained through working at multiple large design agencies and major corporations. Extensive experience developing design languages and style guides. Consistent integration of user-centered methodologies that start and end with the goal of immersive human interaction. An advocate of best practice approaches to design and code. Equally technically adept and highly creative. Cross browser/cross platform considerations built in to all my work. A genuine team player who enjoys knowledge sharing an peer-to-peer interaction and collaboration.

I've worked at some of Brighton & Hoves (and Dublins) leading design agencies and large companies on an extraordinarily rich and diverse array of projects over the last 20 years. Always keen to use new technologies and design practices, I've designed work for pretty much every format that's out there. The amount I've learnt form the top creative and technical people along the way is immeasurable. It's this depth of experience that makes me the creative professional I am today.
